In compliance with the gubernatorial Executive Order on Wednesday, July 22, beginning on Saturday, July 25, Nativity of Mary will be requiring masks at all Weekend and Daily Masses, and for all individuals who come indoors (unless they are alone).
We have thus updated our Public Mass Protocol to include the new mask requirement. Please note that this requirement includes individuals coming into the church for Adoration, Confession, or any other parish event.
For further information about the Executive Order, please consult the information on masking from the MN Department of Health.
In a recent Catholic Spirit Article, Archbishop Hebda expressed his encouragement for wearing a mask: "'While I realize that there are lots of opinions out there, the safest path seems to be following the recommendations of the Minnesota Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control,' he said. He also encouraged people who find masks uncomfortable, or for whom it’s a sacrifice to wear, to unite that sacrifice to the suffering of people around the world."
