Ways Your Generosity Can Touch Others

Beginning in the end of November, our Angel Trees will be standing in the Gathering Space and the north entrance of the Sanctuary. Each Angel on the tree represents one gift item in support of a local organization (VEAP, Tandem, Kennedy Pantry, and Nativity Outreach). You are invited to take one or more Angel(s) and purchase the suggested items. Return your UNWRAPPED GIFT(s) WITH THE ANGEL FOR INDENTIFICATION to the church before and after weekend Masses or the parish office during business hours. Please note the angel color for each organization.

  • The PURPLE KENNEDY H.S. COMMUNITY ALLIANCE’S PANTRY Angel gifts will be used to assist teens with health & beauty products along with gift cards for food, often benefitting their entire family. All Kennedy Angels must be returned to Nativity by Sunday, December 15th.

The Pantry at Kennedy High School is one of the programs run by the Kennedy Community Alliance. At Kennedy they are on the front lines triaging a variety of issues as a result of couch hopping and families doubling up because of homelessness, transient living, death of family members, loss of employment, illness and underemployment. The mission of the Kennedy Community Alliance is to eliminate financial barriers that impact students’ academic, extracurricular and social success that is vital to the overall quality and success of the children. The Pantry is stocked with everyday essentials that most of us take for granted. Everything from personal care items, clothes, school supplies and gift cards to be used for food. The Pantry gets stocked in the summer but in a matter of months the shelves are bare.  Below are items that will restock the shelves:

    • Deodorant (Boys & Girls)

    • Body Wash (Boys & Girls)

    • Lotion (Boys & Girls)

    • Gift Cards—Cub, Walmart, Subway

  • The YELLOW VEAP Angel gifts will be used to provide non-perishable pantry items, toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent, and gift cards for local families in need. All VEAP Angels must be returned to Nativity by Sunday, December 15th.

VEAP is a basic needs and social services organization whose programs promote access to healthy foods, stable housing and other supportive services.  VEAP’s programs are designed to address a particular need and when used together provide hope and can help avoid a financial crisis such as loss of housing, transportation, or employment. Whether the hardship is from a disability, job transition, or the financial and physical stresses of aging, VEAP has been helping our neighbors in need for 45 years.

  • The GREEN TANDEM PREGNANCY & FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER Angel gifts will be used to suppor this important organization. This program provides basic supplies to mothers-to-be and families. All Respect Life Angels must be returned to Nativity by Sunday, December 15th.

Tandem is a community organization that helps mothers and children in crisis.  Tandem focuses on six primary areas to best assist families: crisis intervention, healthcare, housing, childcare, life skills and education, and vocational training.

  • The BLUE OUTREACH Angel gifts will be used in our own Nativity of Mary Outreach Assistance program, and uses gift carddonations to assist local families in need. All Outreach Angels must be returned to Nativity by Sunday, December 15th.

Angel Tree Gift Cards—Purchase through Raise Right

Raise Right (formerly known as SCRIP) is a convenient way to support Angel Tree Giving that also benefits Nativity of Mary School. Rather than going to the store to pick up gift cards, simply complete this order form and return it to the Nativity of Mary School Office. The school staff will place the order and give the gift cards directly to Angel Tree Coordinators. Purchasing gift cards through Raise Right gives a kickback to Nativity of Mary School.
