At Nativity of Mary, stewardship is not simply about giving—it is a way of life rooted in discipleship. As followers of Christ, we are invited into a relationship with God that shapes how we pray, serve, and share the gifts entrusted to us. Stewardship begins with gratitude and grows through discernment as we listen for how God is calling each of us to participate in His work through the Church.
- Prayer
- We cannot give what we do not first receive. Prayer is the foundation of stewardship, ordering our hearts toward God and deepening our relationship with Him. Time spent in prayer allows us to recognize God’s presence in our lives and strengthens us to welcome others into the life of the Church. Through prayer—both personal and communal—we are formed as disciples.
- Service
- God has uniquely gifted each of us with talents, skills, and charisms meant to be shared. Service is not about productivity or obligation, but about offering who we are for the good of others. When we volunteer, join a ministry, or serve our neighbors, we become the hands, feet, and face of Christ, reflecting His humble love in the world.
- Tithe & Generosity
- Everything we have is a gift from God, entrusted to us for a time. Tithing and generous giving are concrete expressions of our trust in God and our commitment to His Church. By making intentional and proportionate financial gifts, we support the mission of Nativity of Mary and participate in the ongoing work of faith formation, worship, and outreach.
When we choose to live as stewards, we discover that God works through our offerings of time, talent, and treasure, drawing us closer to Him and to one another.
