Stephen Ministry Commissioning

Congratulations, new Stephen Ministers!

At the 4pm Mass this weekend, four Nativity of Mary parishioners will be commissioned as Stephen Ministers. They are Cathy Skrypek, Julie Clancy, Kimberly McCaffrey, and Beth Gaetz. Along with St. Edward's Parish parishioners Christopher Parker, Mary Jean Fischer, and Shelley Jaax, Julie, Kim, Cathy, and Beth recently completed 50 hours of classroom instruction on many aspects of providing distinctively Christian care, including grief and loss, confidentiality, listening and reflecting.

The new group will join Jim Eddleston and Rose Theis (also Stephen Leaders), Bette Baxter and Roberta Studeman, who have been providing emotional and spiritual care as Stephen Ministers for many years.

Let us thank God for his abundant goodness to our parish, and promise our prayers of support for our Stephen Ministers.

For more information about Stephen Ministry and how a Stephen Minister might care for you or another you know, see the bulletin boards and pamphlets at each entrance, our website, or reach out to Beth Gaetz, Ministry Coordinator. The next Stephen Minister training will likely begin Fall 2023.
