On the second Saturday of this month, July 8, we had our Free Food Giveaway at Nativity. We served 140 cars and about 230 families. Each family received canned goods and dry goods, fresh produce, milk, eggs, and a choice of chicken, pork or fish. We were fortunate to have a beautiful day to serve our neighbors. August 12 will be the date of our next Giveaway. We have enough canned goods for our August event, but we will need to collect canned and dry goods for our Fall Giveaway events.
Our SVDP conference has a number of events coming up in the Fall. Please save your clothing for our Clothing Drive September 16-17. You will be able to donate before and after the weekend Masses. The Walk for the Poor is September 30. There will be more information about these events next month.
