Nativity of Mary is partnering with VEAP for their 2022 March Food Drive. The Food Drive will run until April 10th.
VEAP is one of 300 Food Shelves in Minnesota. The FoodShare March Campaign is an effort coordinated by the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches (GMCC) to refill food pantry shelves after the holiday season.
In 2021 Nativity of Mary parishioners and students contributed 1,455 pounds of food to VEAP, benefitting our suburban neighbors. Bloomington residents make of 50% of VEAP clients.
Food bags with a list of most needed items are available at the Church entries. Donations will be collected at the entries at Church.
Due to the COVID restrictions and the inconvenience of food donations, VEAP is encouraging financial donations. Financial donations are safe, convenient, and provide huge benefits in terms of buying power. To make a financial donation to VEAP click here.
