Theology & Brews: June 12th

Theology & Brews | June 12 | 6:45 PM

Join us for our next Theology & Brews on Thursday, June 12, from 6:45–8:00 PM in the Gathering Space. Chris Kostelc, our guest speaker, will reflect on the first words of Pope Leo: “Peace be with you all.” He’ll explore what the papacy means for Catholics today and how maintaining peace can be a powerful way to encounter Jesus.

If you're interested in sponsoring a future Theology & Brews or would like to learn more, contact Kelly Schumacher in the parish office at: kschumacher@nativitybloomington.org.

Speaker Bio:

Chris Kostelc serves as Director of Mission and Faith Formation at Holy Name of Jesus. He earned a degree in Theology with a focus in Pastoral Ministry from St. John’s University, and in 2009, completed a master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry from the SJU School of Theology. With over two decades of experience in church ministry, Chris now focuses on adult faith formation, continuing his mission to accompany others in their spiritual journey through story, community, and lifelong discipleship. He also speaks regularly throughout the Archdiocese, encouraging and equipping the faithful in their walk with Christ.

Chris is the co-host of the Storydram podcast, where he and his co-host share “small stories with big impact” to help others see and share God’s work in their lives. The name comes from the idea that a dram—a small amount—can still make a lasting impression. Through these conversations, Chris hopes listeners are encouraged and empowered to share their own stories of faith.
