Begin the Lenten journey with us! Nativity of Mary Ash Wednesday services will take place on Wednesday, February 14th at the following times:
- 8:00 AM - Mass with ashes
- 9:45 AM - School Mass with ashes
- Noon - Ash Service (no Mass, just ashes)
- 6:30 PM - Mass with ashes
As we approach the solemn season of Lent, we are reminded of the transformative power of repentance, prayer, and fasting. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of our Lenten journey—a period of reflection, sacrifice, and spiritual renewal.
During these services, we will receive ashes on our foreheads as a visible sign of our mortality and the need for repentance. As the ashes are imposed, we will hear the solemn words, "Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return."
This Lenten season, let us embrace the call to prayer, fasting, and almsgiving with open hearts. Let us use this time to draw closer to God, to reflect on our lives, and to seek forgiveness for our sins. Through acts of charity and self-denial, may we deepen our relationship with Christ and grow in holiness.
I invite you to make a commitment to journey with us through Lent, attending Mass, participating in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and engaging in spiritual practices that nourish the soul.
May this Ash Wednesday mark the beginning of a fruitful Lenten season for each one of us, as we strive to follow Christ more closely and prepare our hearts to celebrate His resurrection on Easter Sunday.
