If you have a great love for our Eucharistic Lord, a heart for those with memory loss, and weekday availability, then becoming a Pastoral Care Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (EHMC) may be the perfect ministry for you! Wealshire of Bloomington has opened its doors to volunteers again, and we are looking to provide room-to-room Holy Communion to Catholic residents every week. Once through the onboarding process, your commitment could be once or twice a month; time commitment per turn averages 2-3 hours. Interested persons must be willing to undergo Virtus/Safe Environment certification through Nativity/the Archdiocese, a fairly rigorous vetting process through Wealshire (which inlcudes a skin Mantoux TB test), plus several hours of orientation and training, provided through Nativity Pastoral Care.
