Names for the All Souls Mass on November 2nd
As the feasts of All Saints and All Souls approach, we are reminded of our hope of eternal life and our duty to pray for the dead. The names of those from our community who have died since October 20, 2022 are listed on our website here under Pastoral Care. If your loved one was a member of Nativity of Mary and is not listed here, please contact Beth Gaetz at: bgaetz@nativitybloomington.org by Monday, October 23rd, so their name can be included in our All Souls Mass of Commemoration of the Faithful Departed on Thursday, November 2, and added to the Book of the Dead.
All Souls Day Mass, November 2nd, 6 PM. Join Us!
All are welcome to attend our Mass of Commemoration of the Faithful Departed on Thursday, November 2nd, at 6:00 PM. After celebrating the glory of the saints who we know are in heaven on November 1st, the Feast of All Saints, the Church turns its attention on All Souls Day to pray for those who have died but are not yet in heaven. At this special Mass, we will specifically remember those from our parish who have died in the past year. Their families are also invited back to Nativity to celebrate this Mass with us, their loved one's worshiping community. Any who attend may offer this Mass for their deceased loved ones, as well as for those who have no one to pray for them. We hope you join us in this great spiritual work of mercy.
